Trying to decide on overhead console for my 79 series - any advice?
Hi everyone, I'm in the process of kitting out my 79 series for an upcoming trip, and I'm stuck on which overhead console to get. There are so many options available! I'm primarily looking for something that offers good storage and a decent place to mount my UHF radio. Would also be nice to have some extra lighting. Any recommendations from those who have already installed one? What brands are good/bad? Any advice on what to look for (or what to avoid!) would be really helpful.

When I was looking at overhead consoles for my 79, I spent ages trying to work what one would best suit my needs. I ended up going for a model with a good amount of storage and integrated LED lighting which I find very useful; the extra light is great at night. Plenty of places sell them - I think Cruiser Store AU, who are at https://cruiserstore.au/ have a decent range, so it's worth checking them and other suppliers out and comparing what they have to offer. Just be careful to measure before you buy!
